Advivo are working on a major project near Whitby in search for a Senior Buyer to support the team on a permanent basis. My client will pay in the region of Â£45,000 to Â£50,000 for the right candidate.
The Role includes managing tenders in line with allocated requirements professionally and timely. The Senior Buyer will work alongside internal teams to ascertain items / services required and manage the suppliers to ensure deadlines are met.
This role also includes managing the purchasing process of lower cost materials / services ensuring quality and controls are met, compliance is in line with company standards, and terms are thoroughly negotiated with prospect suppliers / vendors.
My client is looking for the following attributes:
Experience of executing tenders from initial stages to contractual agreements
Market and commercial awareness
Experience of working with an ERP system
Experience of understanding terms and challenging specifics
Experience / knowledge of PO’s and system inputting
Working knowledge of customs regulations
Desired to have experience in mechanical, electrical or machinery / tooling procurement
Working knowledge of Excel
